Because almotriptan has not been adequately studied in children and teens, it is not approved for children and teens less than 18 years of age. Talk with your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using almotriptan to treat migraines in children and teens.
Off-Label Almotriptan Uses
On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend almotriptan for treating something other than the condition(s) discussed above. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, one off-label almotriptan use is the treatment of cluster headaches.
