Delayed Release Valproic AcidDelayed release valproic acid is a prescription medicine used for treating epilepsy. By increasing GABA (a brain chemical) and affecting sodium channels in the brain, it can help prevent certain types of seizures. The medication is also approved to treat bipolar mania and prevent migraine headaches. Delayed release valproic acid comes in soft gel capsule form and is available in three different strengths.
