Because frovatriptan has not been adequately studied in children and teens, it is not approved for children and teens less than 18 years of age. Talk to your healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using frovatriptan to treat migraines in children and teens.
Off-Label Frovatriptan Uses
On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend frovatriptan for something other than the condition discussed above. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, one off-label frovatriptan use is for the treatment of cluster headaches.
