Cambia™ (
diclofenac potassium) is a prescription drug licensed for the treatment of
migraines. It is approved to help treat a
migraine that has already started; it is not used to prevent migraines.
While most people do not have any problems while taking this drug, Cambia is not suitable for everyone. For instance, you may not be able to safely use this medication if you have certain medical conditions, such as
asthma,
high blood pressure, or a bleeding problem. You also may not be able to take this drug if you are currently taking certain medications (including some vitamins, herbal supplements, and non-prescription medicines).
Cambia comes in one strength -- 50 mg packets. If you are experiencing a migraine, mix one of these packets with one to two ounces of water and immediately drink the mixture.
