Inderal LA Drug Info
Inderal® LA (propranolol hydrochloride sustained-release) is a beta blocker prescribed for many uses, such as:
- Controlling high blood pressure
- Relieving angina symptoms
- Preventing migraines
- Improving symptoms in people with hypertrophic subaortic stenosis, which is a condition in which the middle part of the heart thickens.
This drug is not suitable for everyone. It is important to discuss the prescribing information for Inderal LA with your healthcare provider before beginning treatment. For instance, you may not be able to use this product if you are taking certain medications or have certain allergies. Also, it's a good idea to tell your healthcare provider if you are pregnant, thinking of becoming pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Inderal LA is taken once a day. Though generally well tolerated, it may cause dry eyes or other side effects in some people.
