Inderal LA Side Effects

Most people have no problems with Inderal LA. Side effects, if they do occur, are usually minor and easily treated by you or your doctor. Common side effects include slow heart rate, short-term memory loss, and low blood sugar. Serious problems that you should report to your doctor right away include unexplained skin rash, chest pain, and difficulty breathing or swallowing.

An Overview of Inderal LA Side Effects

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Inderal® LA (propranolol hydrochloride sustained-release). However, not everyone who takes this medication will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in many cases, they are minor, meaning they require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are far less common, but can still occur.

The available information about possible Inderal LA side effects is based on data from the short-acting version of the medication (Inderal). Inderal is an older medication. As such, there is limited information available about possible side effects. For newer medications, the prescribing information carefully lists the exact percentage for each side effect; this is not the case for older medications like Inderal.
