Although lavender is commonly used as a scent in various products, it can also be used as an herbal remedy for medicinal purposes. It can be taken orally, used as an essential oil, or applied to the skin. Lavender is claimed to be beneficial for treating numerous conditions, such as depression or insomnia, but there is currently no evidence to support these supposed uses. You should talk to your healthcare provider before using lavender products if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any allergies.
