You might think a headache is just a headache, but there are actually several different types of headaches, such as migraine headaches, tension headaches, and cluster headaches. Some have specific triggers or causes, whereas with others, the cause isn't always known. In addition, headaches can be chronic (occurring regularly) or acute (only occurring once in a while, possibly in response to a specific trigger).
Welcome to the Headache Health Channel by eMedTV. Our Headache Health Channel contains a wide range of articles explaining the various types of headaches, what causes them, and how they can sometimes be avoided (or at least minimized). Information is also provided on all the treatment options available, from traditional methods (such as prescription and non-prescription drugs) to not-so-traditional methods (such as acupuncture and biofeedback).
You can begin your eMedTV headache experience by clicking one of the featured links located on this page. You can also start with the health topic section on the left side to find a topic of interest. If you do not find the specific information that you are looking for in these two locations, use the Search box at the top of this page.
