There are a number of side effects that can occur during treatment with Maxalt® (rizatriptan benzoate). Some common side effects of this drug include fatigue or weakness; dry mouth; abnormal sensations such as tingling, burning, or prickling; and neck pain, jaw pain, or throat pain. A few rare side effects with this medicine include hot flashes, flushing, and the sensation of a rapidly or forcefully beating heart. You should let your healthcare provider know if you experience any side effects -- as well as anything that "just does not seem right" -- while taking Maxalt.
