What If I Overdose on Zecuity?

An overdose of this medication could cause potentially serious symptoms, such as seizures and paralysis. Seek immediate medical attention if you or someone else may have overdosed on Zecuity.

How Should This Medication Be Stored?

Zecuity should be stored at room temperature in its original unopened pouch. Do not store it in the refrigerator or freezer. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.

After use, Zecuity should be folded so the adhesive side sticks to itself. Dispose of it away from children and pets. Because Zecuity contains lithium-manganese dioxide batteries, there may be special state and local regulations governing its disposal. Make sure to follow any such regulations when disposing of this product.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Zecuity?

Because Zecuity is used on an as-needed basis, it is unlikely you will forget a dose. If your migraine has started and you forgot to apply Zecuity, just apply it as soon as you remember.

Available Strengths

Zecuity is available in one strength and form: Zecuity iontophoretic transdermal system, which contains 86 mg of sumatriptan total but only delivers 6.5 mg of the medicine over four hours.

Can I Buy Generic Zecuity?

This medication is not yet available in generic form (see Generic Zecuity).
